Little Mouse

Little Mouse

The mouse gives up his power

He wilts like a little flower.

He knows inside he should rise

But he won’t seize this hour.

The mouse becomes the mat

His peers, they make him flat

Underneath the shoe of others,

He mutters “do I deserve that?”

But then he met this mouse

He was built like a brick house

He told him "don’t be so timid

Open your eyes, time to rouse.

You place all these mice higher

You tend to tip toe on a wire

If you continue on this path

trust your life will end up dire.

Try to see you’re equal here

You must quickly see it clear

Place no one above or below

To yourself, you can be dear.

Speak your mind don’t be quiet

Say the first words you can try it.

When they tell you you’re nothing

It is untrue, don't ever buy it.

The truth is you have power

You have no need to ever cower

But the key’s for you to see

And to seize it in this hour.

Little mouse don’t be so little

I’m not speaking to you in riddle

Between aggressive and passive

Find the place that's in the middle

That middle ground is the ideal

It is when you’ll freedom feel.

Little mouse don’t be so little

It’s time to show some zeal.

The truth is you have power

Stand up tall just like a tower

Little mouse don’t be so little

It’s time to seize this hour."
